Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is an excellent way to make a difference in your community! YVC also allows youth to earn service hours for organizations such as National Honor Society and Key Club, and looks great on resumes, college applications and scholarships.
The Youth Volunteer Corps' motto is: Helping Out in the Lawrence Area. Teens serve on the council to develop their interest in volunteerism, learn about various local agencies, match teens with service opportunities and create additional volunteer opportunities for other youth. During the school year, we offer 1-2 service opportunities a month, for a total for about 5 hours each month with the majority of our projects taking place on Saturdays.
